*WARNING!!*Do this at your own risk Benchaddix.com nor I
take any responsibility for any damage to your hardware or software when doing
this mod you are doing this AT YOUR OWN RISK
This
is the second part of this mod it is for motherboards that don’t come with a
cmos clear jumper and only have two pins to clear the cmos its a little easier
then the first part but basically the same thing
Supplies
needed.
-Soldering
iron
-Solder
-A
simple push button switch
-One
led off an old case with wire and plug still attached
-Hot
glue gun and one glue stick *optional*
Now
lets see what we got for this version

Nothing
much really just a plain LED and a push button switch so lets get started. First you need to cut the LED off so it is
out of the way then like on the first version if the two wires are not next to
each other you need to move the wires to where there side by side. Strip the wires down just a little bit
because you don’t need a lot to solder it to the contact, now touch the tip of
the soldering iron to the contact on the push button switch so it heats up and
add a little solder to it so you can solder the wire on it. *see picture*

Now
that you have that done take the wire holding it as far away from the tip of
the soldering iron as you can and still control the wire and where it goes,
place the end of the wire that you striped on the contact and touch the contact
with the soldering iron until it becomes a liquid, make sure the wire is on the
wet solder and pull back the soldering iron and wait three seconds or so for it
to re harden and then you can let go of the wire now that it is attached. Slightly tug on the wire no need to yank it
but just a little tug to make sure it is fully connected repeat with the other
wire and it should look like this *see picture*

Now
you connect it to the two pin cmos clear header on your motherboard you can
find its location by reading the manual if you don’t have a manual go to the
manufactures site and download the pdf manual and look in there, after that
when you want to reset the bios just turn your pc off and make sure it has no
power connected to it and push the button and it will reset your cmos. : ) Now I recommend adding some hot glue to where
you soldered your wires on to make sure it wont come loose when installing it
just to be on the safe side and it will look something like this.
